In English

Lines 1–24: A song that praises Murugan as the one seed of liberation and the supreme teacher. It says he taught the three-eyed Shiva the sound that came before the Vedas, and that the thirty-three groups of gods worship his feet. It then recalls deeds of Vishnu: the arrow that broke ten heads, the churning with a mountain as the rod, driving Arjuna's chariot and turning day to night. It asks whether there will be a day when Murugan protects and blesses the poet. The song then describes the battlefield, where Bhairavi dances and ghosts beat drums, and Murugan cuts down the demons and pierces the great mountain.
