Kumbakonam is the best base for this group. Sarangapani (number 12) is in town. Oppiliappan, Nachiyar Koil and Nathan Koil lie to the east close to each other, and Thirucherai is a little further. To the west, Pullabhoothangudi and Aadanoor are only about a kilometre apart, with Thirukoodalur and Kabisthalam further along the same road.
