The Two Neighbours
Two neighbours quarrelled over a fallen branch and did not speak for a year. When one of them fell ill, the other quietly left a pot of soup at his door. Neither of them mentioned the branch again. They both agreed that holding on to anger had been heavier than the branch ever was.
இரண்டு அண்டை வீட்டார்

The Promise Under the Neem Tree
Murugan promised his grandmother that he would never tell a lie. A year later, a friend begged him to say that he had been at home when he had not. Murugan said no, even though it was hard. His grandmother heard about it and hugged him. She said that keeping a small promise is how a big one is kept.
வேப்ப மரத்தடி வாக்கு
முருகன் தன் பாட்டிக்கு, நான் ஒருபோதும் பொய் சொல்ல மாட்டேன் என்று வாக்குக் கொடுத்தான். ஓர் ஆண்டு கழித்து, ஒரு நண்பன் தான் வீட்டில் இருந்ததாகச் சொல்லும்படி அவனிடம் கெஞ்சினான், உண்மையில் அவன் அங்கே இல்லை. கடினமாக இருந்தபோதும் முருகன் மறுத்துவிட்டான். பாட்டி அதைக் கேள்விப்பட்டு அவனை அணைத்துக்கொண்டாள். சிறிய வாக்கைக் காப்பதுதான் பெரிய வாக்கைக் காக்கும் வழி என்று சொன்னாள்.

The Welcome Neighbour
Whenever a family in the lane celebrated or struggled, Nila was the first to visit. She brought flowers at weddings and soup in sickness. Over the years, everyone thought of her as one of their own family. When Nila fell ill herself, the whole lane took turns to care for her.
வரவேற்கப்படும் அண்டை வீட்டுக்காரி
