பொருள்: செல்வம் உடையவனாயினும் அளவறிந்து செலவு செய்.
Meaning: Even if you are wealthy, spend with measure.
The Careful King
A rich merchant gave a big feast every week and soon ran short of money. His neighbour, who was not as wealthy, spent carefully and always had enough to help others in need. The merchant saw his mistake and changed his ways. He said that being generous does not mean being careless, and that measured spending keeps wealth alive.
கவனமான அரசன்

The Lean Year
After a dry year, the village had little grain, and even the generous families could give only small portions. A teacher explained that giving depends on having. She asked the children to waste nothing and to plant trees. In the following years, the rains returned, and the villagers gave again with open hands.
பஞ்சமான ஆண்டு

A traveller knocked at a door on a rainy night. The owner of the first house said he was busy and shut the door. At the next house, a family gave him tea, food and a warm place to sleep. Years later, the first man fell on hard times and no one came to help him. The villagers said that welcoming others is how a community stays kind.

The Brave Friend
When a bully pushed Raj in the playground, his friend Kabir stood beside him and calmly said to stop. The bully backed off. Kabir didn't shout or fight, but his firm presence was enough. Raj thanked him afterwards. Kabir said that friendship means standing up for each other, gently but firmly, and that is where true courage lies.

The Careful Reply
A student was asked by the headmaster why homework had not been done. Instead of making excuses or being rude, she explained honestly and politely and asked for a day more. The headmaster nodded and agreed. She learned that respectful words calm a serious situation, and that speaking carefully to those in charge keeps trouble away.
