🌡️ Below Zero Jumper
Locate negative and positive integers on a number line from −5 to 5, up to −20 to 20.
How to play
Zero sits in the middle. Numbers to the right are positive and numbers to the left are negative, so −6 is six steps left of zero. Tap the line where the number belongs.
⌨️ Keyboard: ← and → move the marker, Enter jumps.
What it teaches
Integers are introduced in Year 6 of the Australian Curriculum using contexts like temperature and sea level. A clear mental number line helps with comparing, ordering and later adding and subtracting negative numbers.
Levels: −5 to 5 (Every number labelled) · −10 to 10 (Labels every 5) · −20 to 20 (Ticks every 2)
