🔬 Science 🧒 Ages 5–11 🇦🇺 Foundation–Year 5 🎚️ 3 levels

🌱 Living or Non-living?

Decide whether things are living or non-living – then add a third group for things that were once alive.

How to play

Living things grow, need food and water, respond to their surroundings and reproduce. Something that moves or grows is not always alive – think about all of the clues together. Tap or drag each card into its group.

⌨️ Keyboard: press the number on a box to sort the card into it.

What it teaches

Recognising living things and their needs starts in Foundation, and grouping living and non-living things is a Year 3 Science focus. Tricky examples (fire, crystals, seeds) build careful scientific reasoning.

Levels: Easy (Clear examples) · Medium (Tricky ones) · Hard (Once living too)

Free to play, with no sign-up and no ads beside the game. Best scores are saved only in this browser. All artwork and sounds are made in code by makekite.
