How to play
A new sum appears as soon as you answer. Work it out in your head, type the answer and press Enter. Questions mix all four operations on the harder levels, so read the sign before you answer.

What it teaches
Mental strategies such as partitioning, bridging to ten and using known facts are a core part of number work from Year 3 to Year 7. Mixing operations trains students to choose a strategy rather than repeat one procedure.
