🍕 Same Amount Pizzas
Show equivalent fractions by topping a pizza cut into more slices so it matches the one beside it.
How to play
The left pizza already has some slices topped. Your pizza is cut into more slices, so you will need more of them to cover the same amount. Tap slices until both pizzas look the same, then press Check.
⌨️ Keyboard: ↑ adds a slice, ↓ removes one, Enter checks. Tab and Space also work on each slice.
What it teaches
Equivalent fractions are a Year 4 focus in the Australian Curriculum and are needed to compare, simplify and add fractions in Years 5 and 6. Seeing that 1/2 and 4/8 cover the same area explains why the rule works.
Levels: Halves (Into quarters and sixths) · Thirds & quarters (Double or triple) · Up to twelfths (Bigger jumps)
