How to play
Magnets attract things containing iron (including steel), nickel or cobalt. Most other materials – plastic, wood, glass, paper and even many metals such as aluminium, copper and gold – are not attracted. Tap or drag each object into a box.

What it teaches
Forces that act at a distance, like magnetism, are explored in Year 2 and Year 4 Science. The surprising items (aluminium cans, copper-nickel coins) challenge the common idea that magnets attract every metal.
