Make each amount using the smallest possible number of Australian coins and notes.
How to play
Start with the biggest coin or note that fits, then keep adding the biggest one that still fits. If your amount is right but you used more pieces than needed, you can swap and try again.
⌨️ Keyboard: number keys add coins, Backspace removes the last one, Enter checks.
What it teaches
Finding the fewest coins practises place value, subtraction and the “greedy” strategy of always taking the largest piece that fits – which is also a simple algorithm idea from Digital Technologies.
