What it's for
Charts are easier to follow when the grid matches your fabric: 14-count Aida has 14 squares per inch. Bold lines every 10 squares and arrows at the centre help you start in the middle and count accurately.
Which size to choose
Print at 100% on A4 or Letter so the grid matches your fabric count. A3 fits larger designs.
Printing tips
- Pick the paper size above first. The print dialog should then show the same size; if it doesn't, choose it there too.
- Set Scale to 100% or Actual size (not "Fit to page") so measurements stay true. Margins are already built into the sheet.
- Turn off "Headers and footers" in the print dialog for a clean edge.
- Choose Grey to save ink, or Black if you will photocopy the page.
