College Ruled Paper
College ruled lined paper with 9/32 inch (7.1 mm) lines and a margin. Print on A4, A5, US Letter or Legal for notes and essays.
What it's for
College ruled (also called medium ruled) paper spaces its lines 9/32 inch, about 7.1 mm, apart. It fits more lines on a page than wide ruled paper, so it suits high-school and university notes, journals and drafts.
Which size to choose
US Letter is the traditional size for college ruled paper; in Australia choose A4 so it fits standard ring binders. A5 makes a compact notebook page.
Printing tips
- Pick the paper size above first. The print dialog should then show the same size; if it doesn't, choose it there too.
- Set Scale to 100% or Actual size (not "Fit to page") so measurements stay true. Margins are already built into the sheet.
- Turn off "Headers and footers" in the print dialog for a clean edge.
- Choose Grey to save ink, or Black if you will photocopy the page.
