Cornell Notes Paper
Cornell note-taking template with a cue column, note area and summary box. Free to print on A4, Letter, A5 and Legal.
What it's for
The Cornell method uses a narrow cue column (about 2.5 in / 6.4 cm) for questions and keywords, a wide notes column, and a summary box at the bottom (about 2 in / 5 cm). After class, cover the notes and quiz yourself from the cues.
Which size to choose
A4 and US Letter give the standard proportions. On A5 the columns scale down so the page stays usable in a small binder.
Printing tips
- Pick the paper size above first. The print dialog should then show the same size; if it doesn't, choose it there too.
- Set Scale to 100% or Actual size (not "Fit to page") so measurements stay true. Margins are already built into the sheet.
- Turn off "Headers and footers" in the print dialog for a clean edge.
- Choose Grey to save ink, or Black if you will photocopy the page.
