🔎 Reading Detective
Read short original passages and answer questions – finding facts, making inferences and working out word meanings.
How to play
Read the passage carefully, then the question. Some answers are written right there in the text; others need you to think about the clues (an inference). You can re-read the passage as often as you like before answering.
⌨️ Keyboard: press 1–4 to pick an answer, or type your answer and press Enter.
What it teaches
Comprehension grows from finding stated information (Years 1–2) to making inferences and identifying main ideas (Years 3–7). Short passages let students practise each skill without the fatigue of a long text.
Levels: Find it (Answers are in the text) · Think about it (Use the clues) · Deep reading (Main ideas and word meanings)
