About this practice test
This Year 7 numeracy test follows the shape of NAPLAN numeracy: questions across the six strands of the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics, mostly on skills taught in the years before the test, with a few on the current year. Each question is written to match a content description in Version 9.0 of the curriculum, and the code is shown beside it when you check your answers, so teachers and parents can see exactly which skill it practises. The codes used in this test bank are: AC9M6A02, AC9M6M01, AC9M6M03, AC9M6M04, AC9M6N02, AC9M6N05, AC9M6N06, AC9M6N07, AC9M6SP02, AC9M7A01, AC9M7A03, AC9M7A05, AC9M7M01, AC9M7M02, AC9M7M05, AC9M7N01, AC9M7N03, AC9M7N07, AC9M7N08, AC9M7P01, AC9M7ST01.
The question numbers are chosen from the test number, so this page always gives the same test, and it is fair to compare a first and second try. When you finish, you can also start a new practice test with different numbers.
How to use it
- Do the test in one sitting, with the timer on, to get used to the pace of the real test.
- Afterwards, go through every question you missed and read the explanation. The skills table shows what to practise next.
- Try the test again a week later and compare scores. Your best score is remembered in this browser only.
- Teachers can use the tests on a classroom screen to talk through the questions together.
Important
These practice tests are written by makekite. They are not official NAPLAN tests, and they are not produced or endorsed by ACARA. Scores here are a guide to practice only and are not NAPLAN results or proficiency levels. To see the official question types and the real test screen, try ACARA's NAPLAN public demonstration site. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, and sharing your score shares only the score and a link to this page.
