In English

Mother, are these few things? So many gods can scarcely think of him, the one of great and matchless glory. When you hear the signs of his greatness, you say 'Shiva' at once. Before you can finish the first word of his praise, you melt like wax in fire. We all said, 'My elephant, my king, my sweet nectar.' Listen to us. Do you still sleep, apart from the rest? You lie idle like hard-hearted foolish girls. What kind of sleep is this?

About this verse

The girls remind a friend how quickly she used to melt at the first word of the Lord's praise, and ask how she can now lie there like someone with a hard heart.
