In English
You with the smile like bright pearls, has the day still not dawned? Have all the girls with voices like sweet parrots come? We will count ourselves and tell you how many there are. Do not waste time sleeping to no purpose. He is the one medicine for the heavens, the finest meaning of the Vedas, sweet to the eyes. We sing of him and our hearts melt. We cannot just stand about, so you come yourself and count us. If anyone is missing, then go back to sleep.
About this verse
The girls make a deal with their friend: come and count us, and if even one is missing, you may sleep again. It is a playful way to say that no one wants to go to the pond without her.
