In English

You with the smile like white pearls, once you came out first to meet us and spoke, melting, of 'my father, the blissful one, the nectar'. You who speak so sweetly, come and open your door. You who are devoted, old servants of the Lord, people of good nature, we are new servants. Would it be wrong to take us in and mend our faults? Do we not all know how deep your love is? Will those with beautiful hearts not sing of our Shiva? We need all of this for ourselves.

About this verse

Here the girls remind a friend how sweetly she once spoke about the Lord. They call her old devotees' company, and ask her to open the door and help new servants like themselves.
