In English

With the earrings swinging and the green ornaments swaying, with the garlands in our hair swinging and swarms of bees swirling, we bathe in the cool water and sing of the small hall at Chidambaram. We sing of the meaning of the Vedas and of how he himself is that meaning. We sing of the greatness of his light and of his garland of kondrai flowers. We sing of the beginning, and of how he is also the end. We sing of the feet of the bangled Lady who raised us up, setting us apart, and we bathe.

About this verse

This verse is made of one long chain of 'we sing of' phrases while the girls bathe. It names the Vedas, the light, the garland of golden kondrai flowers, the beginning and the end, and then the Lady who raised them.
