தூய மணிகள் பதித்த மாளிகையில் சுற்றிலும் விளக்குகள் எரிகின்றன. தூபம் மணக்கும் படுக்கையின் மீது நீ உறங்குகிறாய். மாமன் மகளே, மணிகள் பதித்த கதவின் தாழைத் திற. மாமியே, உங்கள் மகளை எழுப்ப மாட்டீர்களா? அவள் பேசாதவளா, கேளாதவளா, சோம்பலில் ஆழ்ந்தவளா? அவளை மந்திரத்தால் கட்டிப்போட்டுப் பெருந்தூக்கத்தில் ஆழ்த்தினார்களா? மாமாயன், மாதவன், வைகுந்தன் என்று அவனுடைய பல பெயர்களையும் சொல்லுவோம்.
In English
Lamps burn all around the mansion of pure jewels. Incense fills the air, and you lie asleep on your couch. Daughter of my uncle, undo the latch of the jewelled door. Aunt, will you not wake your daughter? Is she mute, or deaf, or simply too weary? Has some spell bound her in a deep, guarded sleep? Let us say, 'Great Wonder-worker, Madhava, Lord of Vaikuntha,' and chant his many names together.

Now the girls reach the house of a cousin, and speak first to her, then to her mother, and end by chanting the Lord's names, which is how they hope to wake her.
