நோன்பு இருந்து சொர்க்கம் புகப்போகிறவளே, வாசலைத் திறக்காவிட்டாலும் ஒரு பதிலாவது தர மாட்டாயா? மணமுள்ள துளசி மாலை சூடிய நாராயணன், நாம் போற்றினால் நோன்புப் பரிசைத் தரும் புண்ணியன். முன்பொரு நாள் எமனின் வாயில் விழுந்த கும்பகர்ணனும், தன் பெருந்தூக்கத்தை உனக்கே தந்துவிட்டானோ? அதிகத் தூக்கம் உடையவளே, அரிய அணிகலனே, தெளிவாக வந்து கதவைத் திற.
In English
You who will enter heaven by your devotion, will you not even give us a reply, if you will not open the door? Narayana, who wears the fragrant tulasi on his crown, the good one who grants the reward of the vow when we praise him. Long ago, Kumbhakarna fell into the mouth of death. Did he hand over his great sleep to you? You who are so very drowsy, you rare jewel, come with a clear mind and open the door.

The girls tease a friend who is deep in sleep, saying that even Kumbhakarna, the demon famous for sleeping, seems to have given her his sleep. It is a gentle joke, and ends with a call to wake up.
