What it means (பொருள்)
A short summary in Tamil and in plain English, one part for each line of the verse, written for this page.
In English
The wondrous Lord, the son of ancient Mathura in the north, who dwells on the banks of the pure and mighty Yamuna, the shining lamp born into the cowherd clan, Damodara, who brought glory to his mother's womb. Let us come pure, scatter clean flowers and worship him. Sing with the mouth, and think of him with the mind. The faults of the past, and those that are yet to come, will burn away like dust in a fire. So say his name.
