In English

Govinda, glorious conqueror of those who are not with you, when we sing of you and receive the gift of the vow, it will be a reward that the whole country will praise. Bangles, armlets, earrings, ear-flowers, anklets, and many such ornaments, we will wear. We will put on new clothes. After that, we will eat milk-rice covered in ghee that runs down to our elbows, and sit together, happy and cool at heart.

About this verse

The mood changes here from asking to celebrating. The girls describe what they will do when the vow is complete: dress in new clothes and jewellery and share a feast of sweet milk-rice.
