முப்பத்து மூன்று தேவர்களுக்கும் முன்னே சென்று, அவர்கள் நடுக்கத்தைத் தீர்க்கும் வல்லவனே, எழுந்திரு. நேர்மையும் வலிமையும் உடையவனே, எதிரிகளுக்குத் துன்பம் தருபவனே, தூய்மையானவனே, எழுந்திரு. அழகும் மென்மையும் உடைய நப்பின்னையே, பெண்ணே, திருமகள் போன்றவளே, எழுந்திரு. விசிறியையும் கண்ணாடியையும் தந்து, உன் மணாளனோடு, இப்போதே எங்களை நீராட வை.

Going ahead of the thirty-three gods to take away their fear, mighty one, wake up. You who are upright and strong, who bring heat to your enemies, pure one, wake up. Nappinnai, you who are gentle and graceful, you who are like the goddess herself, wake up. Give us a fan and a mirror, and with your beloved, let us bathe in the vow right now.

The thirty-three gods are the group of thirty-three heavenly beings in the tradition. The verse praises Krishna as their protector, then asks Nappinnai to give them the things needed for the vow and let them bathe.
