In English
Your devotees, who have let go of attachment and sit knowing you, have many of them come and cut their bonds. Women with kohl-lined eyes bow to you, in their human way. You are the husband of the Lady. Cool fields are all around, where lotuses like copper pots open, and there, at Thiruperunthurai, lives Shiva. End this birth for us, and take us as your own. Our Lord, please rise from your bed.
About this verse
Here the poet describes devotees who have cut their ties to the world, and asks that the Lord end this present birth for him too, so that he is not born again.
