In English

The wise say only that you stand in each of the elements, and that you have no going and no coming. Apart from singing songs and dancing, we have never heard of anyone who has actually seen you. King of Thiruperunthurai, with its cool fields, you are beyond thought, yet you come before us, cut away our faults and take us as your own. Our Lord, please rise from your bed.

About this verse

The poet says that learned people describe the Lord as present in everything and as having neither coming nor going, but that he has never met anyone who has truly seen him. It is a humble way of asking the Lord to appear.
