What it's for
Sketch each shot in a frame and note the action, dialogue or camera move underneath. Match the frame shape to your final video: 16:9 for YouTube and TV, 9:16 for phone video, 2.39:1 for widescreen film.
Which size to choose
A4 landscape fits six 16:9 frames with notes. Use the list layout for detailed shot notes beside each frame.
Printing tips
- Pick the paper size above first. The print dialog should then show the same size; if it doesn't, choose it there too.
- Set Scale to 100% or Actual size (not "Fit to page") so measurements stay true. Margins are already built into the sheet.
- Turn off "Headers and footers" in the print dialog for a clean edge.
- Choose Grey to save ink, or Black if you will photocopy the page.
