How to play
Listen to the word and the example sentence, then type the spelling and press Check. Wrong letters are highlighted so you can see exactly where the spelling went off track.

What it teaches
These words trip people up because of doubled letters, silent letters and unusual vowel combinations. The Australian Curriculum expects secondary students to spell complex and less common words accurately, using knowledge of word origins and morphology; British-based Australian spellings such as manoeuvre are used throughout.
