👯 Plural Power
Choose the right plural: add s or es, change y to ies, f to ves, or learn the odd ones like mice and children.
How to play
Read “one …, two …” and pick the right spelling for more than one. Most words just add s; words ending in s, sh, ch, x or z add es; many words ending in a consonant + y change to ies.
⌨️ Keyboard: press 1–4 to pick an answer, or type your answer and press Enter.
What it teaches
Plural spelling rules are taught from Year 1 (adding s) through Years 3–4 (ies, ves and irregular plurals). Knowing the rule – and its exceptions – reduces some of the most common spelling errors in student writing.
Levels: s or es (Regular plurals) · ies and ves (y and f endings) · Odd ones (Irregular plurals)
