Recite together
Family and friends in different places can read the same verse at the same pace. One person starts a session and shares a code, and every phone lights up the same word at the same moment.
How it works
- One code, one or more verses. The code holds the text, the verses, the speed, the pause between verses and the start time. Everyone who enters it gets the same schedule, and each phone works out the same highlighted word from the clock. Between verses everyone sees a short countdown and the next verse to read.
- No accounts and nothing stored. The code is only the settings. Nothing is sent to our servers about who joins, and we do not keep sessions.
- Join late if you need to. If a session has already started, your phone jumps straight to the word being read.
- Keep the page open. We ask your phone to keep the screen awake where it allows it. If the phone locks, the highlight catches up when you unlock it.
- Clocks. Phones check the time against our host so that small differences between devices do not matter. If that check fails, the page says it is using your phone's own clock, which is usually still within a second or two.
