How to plan your week in ten minutes

A weekly plan takes ten minutes and saves hours. Pick a regular time, such as Sunday evening, and start by writing in the fixed things: work, school, appointments and activities.

Next add your top three priorities for the week, then fit tasks into the gaps. Leave some space free, because plans slip. Put the biggest or hardest job early in the week while energy is high.

Keep the planner where you will see it, and review it each morning. At the end of the week, notice what moved and why, and use that to plan more realistically next time.
