🔷 Shape Spotter
Name 2D shapes from circles and triangles up to pentagons, octagons, rhombuses, trapeziums and kites.
How to play
A shape appears, sometimes turned at an angle. Count its sides and corners and look at whether its sides are equal or parallel, then pick its name. Turning a shape never changes what it is called.
⌨️ Keyboard: press 1–4 to pick an answer, or type your answer and press Enter.
What it teaches
Naming and describing 2D shapes runs from Foundation (circles, triangles, squares) to Year 5 (classifying quadrilaterals). Showing shapes at different angles helps students focus on properties rather than how the shape usually looks.
Levels: Basic shapes (Circle, square and more) · Polygons (Up to octagons) · Quadrilaterals (Rhombus, kite and more)
