Final exam grade calculator
Find the mark you need on a final exam to reach a target overall grade.
Assumes your current grade covers the rest of the course.
How this calculator works
Overall = current × (1 − w) + exam × w, so exam needed = (target − current × (1 − w)) ÷ w.
Worked example: with 72% so far and a 40% final, reaching 75% overall needs (75 − 43.2) ÷ 0.4 = 79.5% on the exam.
