France marginal tax rate calculator
See which tax bracket your household income falls in, your marginal and average rate, and how much extra tax an extra €1,000 would cost.
An estimate on net taxable income. The extra tax on another €1,000 includes the effect of the décote and the family quotient cap, so it can differ from the bracket rate. Check impots.gouv.fr for current figures.
How this calculator works
Your bracket is found by dividing your income by your number of parts and looking at where that falls on the scale (0%, 11%, 30%, 41% or 45%). The average rate is the tax payable divided by your income. The extra tax on another €1,000 is found by working out the tax again with €1,000 more income.
Worked example: a single person on €32,000 has one part, so the income per share is €32,000, which is in the 30% bracket. The tax is about €2,704, an average rate of 8.5%, and another €1,000 of income would cost €300 more.
