How this calculator works
Each h:mm entry is converted to minutes, the minutes are added, and the total is converted back. Decimal hours = minutes ÷ 60. Payroll and invoicing often need that format, where 7:45 = 7.75.
Worked example: 1:45 + 2:30 + 0:50 = 105 + 150 + 50 = 305 minutes = 5 h 5 min, or 5.08 hours.
