Image print size and DPI calculator
How large a photo or image prints at a given DPI, and the biggest A-series paper size it fits.
300 DPI suits photos viewed up close. 150 to 200 DPI is usually fine for posters.
How this calculator works
Print size (cm) = pixels ÷ DPI × 2.54. A-series sizes: A4 is 21 × 29.7 cm, and each step up doubles the area.
Worked example: a 3000 × 2000 px photo at 300 DPI prints at 25.4 × 16.9 cm. That fits on A4 but doesn't fill it. At 150 DPI it stretches to 50.8 × 33.9 cm.
