Pressure converter (tyre PSI to kPa)

Convert kPa, PSI, bar, atmospheres and mmHg, for example for tyre pressures.

Use the pressures on your vehicle's tyre placard, checked when the tyres are cold.

How this calculator works

Everything converts through kilopascals: 1 PSI = 6.895 kPa, 1 bar = 100 kPa, 1 atm = 101.325 kPa.

Worked example: 36 PSI = 248 kPa = 2.48 bar. Australian tyre placards usually list kPa, and many service station gauges show both.
