Plasterboard sheet calculator
Estimate how many plasterboard sheets you need for walls and ceilings.
Longer sheets mean fewer joins. Use wet-area board in bathrooms and laundries.
How this calculator works
Sheets = (wall length × height + ceiling − openings) × (1 + waste) ÷ sheet area, rounded up.
Worked example: 16 m of 2.4 m-high wall with 4 m² of openings is 34.4 m², or 37.84 m² with 10% waste. That's 9 sheets of 3600 × 1200.
