About this chart
A chart for the steps between dinner and sleep. A consistent routine helps children to settle, and a chart lets them be in charge of it.
Tips
- Agree on the goal and the reward with your child before you start.
- Choose small goals that can be met, so that children get success early.
- Praise the effort as you add the sticker, and keep rewards small, such as extra story time or a trip to the park.
- When the behaviour becomes a habit, retire the chart and set a new goal.
Common questions
What age is a reward chart good for?
Most children from about three to ten respond well to charts, with the goals and rewards adjusted to the age.
Can I use my own jobs?
Yes. On the weekly charts, type your own jobs, one per line.
Everything on this page is made in your browser and nothing you type is sent anywhere. Printed pages carry a small makekite.com footer and a faint kite in the background. For more, see the worksheets and printable paper.
